Forklift Operator is responsible for the safer operation of the equipment, picking, packing and loading of goods in warehouse.
The Forklift Operator plays a vital role in warehouse and distribution environments. Their primary responsibility is to operate forklifts to move, locate, relocate, and stack products or materials.
key responsibilities:
- For Loading and Unloading: Forklift operators load and unload goods from trucks, pallets, or containers. They ensure that items are securely positioned to avoid accidents.
- Material Handling: They transport goods and materials to designated storage areas, production lines, or shipping docks within a facility.
- Inventory Management: Forklift operators may assist in counting and tracking inventory, ensuring products are properly stored in the correct locations.
- Safety Compliance: Operating forklifts requires a strong awareness of safety protocols. Operators must follow company and legal safety standards to prevent accidents and damage to property.
- Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspecting and maintaining the forklift to ensure its safe operation is a critical part of the job. This includes checking battery levels, tire pressure, and fluid levels.
