Job: Inventory and Compliance Coordinator
Is responsible for (a) the effective inventory management processes and standards throughout our warehousing operation; (b) embedding procedures and way of working to ensure full compliance and execution of inventory control measures, and (c) ensuring excellence in documentation control and reporting in support of the department’s data management agenda.
Responsibilities
Operational Excellence
Own and support the department’s inventory management key performance indicators (KPIs) with the aim of controlling costs within budgetary limits, generating savings, rationalizing inventory, and maximizing available working capital.
Inventory Management
Embed inventory management standards across all warehousing activities with the aim of controlling costs, eliminating waste, and generating savings.
Embed inventory techniques such as daily, weekly, and audited quarterly cycle counts whilst assisting to rationalize inventory (obsolescence).
- Effectively review surplus inventory and obsolescence to support depletion and demand planning process.
- Ensure full compliance with FEFO (First Entry; First out) and batch management.
- Maintain high inventory accuracy through audits, cycle counts, and stock counts at agreed intervals (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annually) ensuring reconciliations of all locations (including virtual and offsite warehouse locations).
- Auditing of the damages returns from trade activities to ensure compliance.
Process and compliance
Ensures compliance with processes and standards governing all Inbound Logistics activities. Flag up gaps identified in processes to the Team Lead – Inventory Management and Continuous Improvement and make recommendations (s) for improvement.

Ensures compliance with processes and standards governing all Outbound Logistics activities. Flag up gaps identified in processes to the Team Lead – Inventory Management and Continuous Improvement and make recommendations (s) for improvement.

Qualifications
Bsc. Logistics and Supply Chain Management or Operations Management
Minimum of 3 years in a similar capacity
Sound knowledge of Excel and ERP systems (Microsoft Business Central 365 or SAP)
